It was all praying from Webb Simpson at the Country Club of Waialae. He had a short putter in his tour of PGA for the first time ever. It was the opening round in Hawaii of the Sony Open. On the front nine he had a tying record of 7 under 28. For the lead he caught off Paul Casey of England 8 under 62 par. He has been a former champion of U.S Open.
His first round of the championship of PGA and he was nervous but he did go for a short putter. He kept on reading about the bible verses. It was the passage found by wife of Simpson which he read. The first round in the year 2015 was nerve wrecking for him.
After the Wake Forest Semester in 2004 he used his putter of belly-length. It is a well known fact that anything above the standard length putter is liable for scrutiny. In Japan he did try the latest flatstick and that was called as a soft opening.
His last 10 holes were all birdies. His appearance in the Ryder Cup was disastrous and his opening drive was embarrassing. He did meet Butch Harmon who is considered as the priest of golf. Out of 14 fairways he did get 10. He made some adjustment to his backswing and he did not get trapped in the path.
His work on the green is different and it cannot be compared. He also stated that the putting round was the best. He admits that it is always easy to putt at his home ground with his friends. The course that he followed at Waialae was similar. By four strokes he did beat his own record. Best week of his was the round of opening. For him golf is funny.
