Jim Furyk one of the most accomplished golfers of all time. Back in 2010, he had won the FedEx Cup, and has really established himself as one of the biggest contenders in the world of golf. He is from America, and in the year 2010, he was crowned the PGA Tour Player of the Year. Also, in 2003, he had won the US Open, and all this has really made people sit up and take notice. He has a very unique style of playing, where he has a looping golf swing, and though this might be unconventional, it has worked wonders for him in past tournaments.
Jim Furyk was in an interview recently, and he talked about a lot of things regarding the past year of 2012. 2011 had been a terrible year for him, and from his top spot in the rankings chart, he had had to settle at spot number six for the entire year, and had even dropped to a woeful fifty-fourth position on the money charts. But come 2012, he had blasted his way to the top again. And this was quite inevitable, as Furyk is a stickler for perfection, and it is not his style or expected of him to perform badly. In 2012, he not only doubled his money, and won way more than 3.6 million dollars, and almost went on to win the US Open. But even if he did not win, the overall stats put him at a higher pedestal than his 2011 place. But even after all that, when asked about how he felt about 2012 and his game, he was visibly saddened.
This was because he had made a very bad shot at the US Open. According to Jim Furyk, he does not fret about physical mistakes, as everyone makes them, and it is normal human nature to do so. But it was a mental mistake that he wishes that he could amend.
